about me

my names allium and im a colorful maximalist, artist, and careworker living, crying, and occasionally thriving, in the northeastern united states. i am the ever dynamic trifecta of mad, sick, and disabled. some of my relevant identities are: trans, white, american, 30+ years old, ambulatory wheelchair user, psych survivor, and class privileged.

two line drawn figures, in black ink, against a hot pink background. they are nude with lots of fat rolls, scars, and acne. white lines depict their shaggy hair, beard, and pubic hair.

about my art

ive cycled through many mediums, but almost always create portraits of people. my first loves were drawing and photography. currently im waist deep in digital collage, weaving, and ceramics! you can find my etsy and insta below.

photography

most of my photography these days focuses on the everyday life of chronic illness. featured below are some of my favorites.

a maximalist digital collage. theres a face with their eyes closed in the lower left obscured by the surrounding images of dried flowers, billowing curtains, altars, and rainbow wall decor. the image is warm toned with slight pink and rainbow hues.

stay

a pink pillow with the edge of a stuffed animal frame the lower left side. the bed itself is covered in an orange sheet. there is a shag lime green blanket in the upper left corner. a fuschia sheet and a yellow blanket take up the righthand side.

sick bed

a pile of meds sprawl across a light pink and fuchsia background. liquid med droplets splatter the paper.

med fatigue / the meds that keep me alive

fiber

i got into weaving when my illnessz got worse. i needed an art form that didnt require a computer screen and could be stopped and started at the drop of a hat. its been a really lovely experience.

a trans pride colored woven wall hanging on a white background. it is highly textured with a bundle of white and blue fiber on top, and strips of pink and white strands hanging below.

small trans pride weaving

a collage of four fiber packs against a pastel rainbow background. the upper left is nonbinary themes, upper right pansexual, lower left trans, and lower right is bisexual pride themed.

queer pride fiber packs

a short wall hanging in trans pride colors against a white background. the weaving has a simple pink weave on top, with billowing blue fiber in a cloudlike structure with white accents hanging below.

sculpture

when i picked up ceramics i created a line of fat trans sculptures, and immediately fell in love! i currently sell plaster replicas (that i make) of my ceramic sculptures. below are some examples!

a light purple torso with silver accents against a white background. the figure is of a small fat person with scars on their hip, pubic and pit hair, a vertical surgical scar on their leg and double mastectomy plus breast augmentation scars.

small fat sculpture

a group of 6 torso sculptures, all in various colors, against a white background. they are all fat and joyful featuring different queer chest types, acne, stretch marks, body hair, and scars.

fat queer sculptures

a warm brown midsize fat torso with gold accents against a white background. the torso has heart shaped nipples on long saggy titties, a hand on their stretch marked apron belly, and scars on the upper arm.

illustration & zines

most of my zines are focused on psych survival. i started making them after my first time being inpatient on a psych ward.

two single page zines against a green background. one is yellow and titled "preparing to go inpatient". the other is pink with purple text that reads "sexual trauma movement plan".

mental health zines

sticker sheet layout with a dull blue background and text along the sides that reads " inpatient starter kit, sticker sheet". theres an image of a medical label, paper scubs, grippy socks, a mask, paper spoon, water cup, notepad, hand and ID bracelet

sticker pack

illustration of various chronic nausea supplies in vibrant surreal colors. some item shown are soup, an eye mask, IV food, a heating pad, zofran, a puke bucket, and a couch.
